Environmental Commitment

Environmental concerns form an integral part of our Company policy. These include a waste reduction scheme and a system to recycle paper, plastic and cardboard.

Effluent from our dyeing plant is treated in three stages using chemical/physical treatment,
a biological process and an artificial lagoon which ensures that local and international environmental norms are complied with.

Water Treatment Plant

The parameters are regularly checked by an accredited institute and the Company has been

issued an Environmental Protection License.

Oekotex Certificate

Eskimo has been tested for Oekotex Standard 100 and awarded a certificate of compliance.
We regularly test our products in order to ensure that all relevant standards are met.

'Sedex' – Suppliers Ethical Data Exchange

In our efforts to keep abreast with international labour standards, Eskimo is now affiliated to 'Sedex' – Suppliers Ethical Data Exchange within the supply chain. At the request of Marks & Spencer, our Factory was inspected according to 'ETI/GSP' audits (Ethical Trading Initiative/Global Sourcing Principles) and found to be in compliance with these standards. 'Sedex' opens the opportunity to share such information and demonstrate improvements among the vast number of organizations affiliated to it.
